Learning can be exciting with the right teacher!

Whether they have had prior musical instruction or are a complete beginner at ERVS they will be able to work with a teacher who will:

What to expect

Lessons are offered for ages 5 to 105! All levels welcome from beginner to advanced. Each voice student receives individualized one-on-one weekly lessons.
Lessons are 45 minutes long.

Here's what’s in a lesson:

Breathing and technique and how the whole body is involved in singing
Song interpretation through games and other activities
Foreign language coaching, if applicable (French, Italian, German, Russian, etc.)
Memorization and stage skills
Ear Training to develop pitch and rhythm
Reading music and Sight Singing
Strategies for efficient practice to ensure improvement

Students will have lots of performance opportunities and have the option to choose to participate in exams (Conservatory Canada), music festivals, auditions, recitals or competitions.

Performance is a highly encouraged element of the program. As a student gains more exposure to public performance they grow in confidence and develop greater expressive skills. Workshops and Masterclasses are offered throughout the year.
